The Russians killed the men on the day of their flight
Valentina Shepel, the mother of one of those shot by the Russians, said that her son went out that day to meet a friend.
He left, said, Mom, I'll take a short walk and be back by curfew. I'm waiting, I can't wait – no at night, and no in the morning. As the curfew ended, I decided that I would run down the street. Where to look … and suddenly, some woman says to me: go to this address. And I ask what happened? He is alive? She: I don't know anything, – recalls the mother of the deceased.
The woman also said that it was the last day of the Russians' stay in Balakliya – the day of flight!
“They were fussing around here, the equipment was completely covered with soldiers, like flies. They were running away,” says Valentina Shepel. p dir=”ltr”>Eyewitnesses said that they saw how it all happened: “15-20 men (Russians) with machine guns came out of the courtyard of the house and shot the car at point-blank range.”
