A message appeared on the Darknet about the sale of data from users of social networks Facebook and Clubhouse. For 3.8 billion entries with phone numbers, names and passwords, an unknown hacker asks for $ 100,000. At the same time, almost any phone can be found in the leaked database, since during the installation Clubhouse had access to the users' address book.
An unknown person reported that he received the base after the Clubhouse hack on July 24, 2021. The platform talked about this hack, but claimed that there was no leak: the hacker only got to open and publicly known information. The database for sale also contains data on Facebook users who leaked online in April.
The hacker did not provide proof of the authenticity of the base, Cybernews noted.

The experts of the publication suggested that the stolen database could be used by scammers for several purposes:
phishing companies; spam to phones and Facebook profiles; selection of passwords for Facebook pages.
In September, experts from the Financial Times found out that hackers selling personal data had switched from the Tor browser to Telegram. For example, the authors of one of the Telegram channels with 47,000 subscribers claim that they have access to 600,000 Yandex user accounts.
