The People's Deputy dispelled the main “myths” regarding the vote in Congress for aid to Ukraine

Voting is underway in the USA.

There are certain myths about the six-month delay in voting for aid to Ukraine. There are clear answers to them.

People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak wrote about this.

Today, April 20, a people’s deputy is present at the consideration of the aid package for Ukraine in the Chamber. He shared key insights:

Did we do anything wrong to cause this situation to happen?

“No, this is purely an internal US problem and a bad set of circumstances for us (including the resignation of the previous speaker) and the course of the election campaign.”

Or the USA to deliberately delay time with the help of something?

“No, this is another conspiracy theory. It’s just that many of the same circumstances arose that finally allowed the package to be voted on.”

Was there a small chance of convincing the most extreme right not to ruin the aid?

“No, everyone I spoke with was sure that there was no such chance. And the very small advantage the Republicans have makes the opinion of everyone within the party important.”

Is there a risk of failure today?

“No, everything will be more than fine. I thought that I would only have time to watch the House vote live, but it turns out that the Senate will also vote (the first).”

Does this mean that now everything is ok here in the USA?

“Niiiiiiiiiight! Of course, a lot depends on the course of the elections, but now we need to prepare that it won’t be so easy in the future and work with Congress anymore as Israel does (though they were organizing the work 50 years)”.

“In general, the last point is a separate conversation,” Zheleznyak summed up.

Previously, the White House answered when Ukraine would receive the first arms supplies.
