General Mark Millie, head of the US Chiefs of Staff, praised the professionalism of the Russian military. TASS reports.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, a Pentagon spokesman said that the Russian armed forces pose a challenge and a threat to the United States. He especially noted the ability of the Russian military to find unconventional solutions to the assigned tasks, as well as the level and combat readiness of the aerospace and cybernetic components of the Russian army.
Their military is very skillful and very professional. There are not as many of them as there were in Soviet times, but they are very skillful. In fact, Russia is a great power. This is not in doubt due to their capabilities.

Mark Milli has led the U.S. Army headquarters since 2015, and in 2018 became the head of the U.S. Chiefs of Staff Committee. During his military career, he, among other things, participated in the invasion of Panama, the American military operation in Haiti, was a member of the NATO peacekeeping contingent in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In early December, it was reported that during a virtual defense forum, Milli named Russia, North Korea, Iran and terrorists as challenges to be reckoned with. He also said that China is a significant threat to the United States.
