The Pentagon positively assessed Russia's statements about the imminent completion of part of the exercises

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said the United States is positive about Russia's announcement that part of the exercise will end soon. His words are quoted by TASS.
At the same time, Washington still believes that Russia has not been sufficiently transparent in informing them about why the concentration of Russian troops along the Ukrainian border is taking place, he added.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu held telephone talks with Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin. The parties discussed security issues of mutual interest.
In February, joint with Russia military exercises “Allied Resolve-2022” are held in Belarus. According to the President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko, the servicemen will work out the confrontation with the forces of Poland, the Baltic states and Ukraine.
