The party of incumbent President Vučić wins the parliamentary elections in Serbia

According to the preliminary vote count, the presidential party gains 46.4% of the votes.

On Sunday, December 17, in the Republic Serbia parliamentary and municipal elections were held.

As reported by RTS.rs, the first results after the counting of votes began show that the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) of incumbent President Aleksandar Vucic is confidently leading in the elections.

Social service CeSID/IPSOS reports that the presidential party now has 46.4% of the votes. Second place goes to the center-left alliance “Serbia against violence” with 23.3%.

The Socialist Party (SPS) takes third place with 6.7%, and the fourth place is taken by the opposition coalition NADA with 4.8%.

Recall that it was previously reported that Russia is recruiting Serbian citizens to participate in the war against Ukraine.
