On Friday, February 18, British Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss will visit Ukraine.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba spoke about this today at a briefing.

– The parade of visits of world leaders and top officials to Ukraine, started in January, continues. And these are not just visits, but specific substantive negotiations… On Friday, I will be glad to host my British colleague Liz Truss in Ukraine,” the minister said.

At the same time, he did not specify whether the creation of a new tripartite military-political union between Ukraine, Great Britain and Poland would be announced during this visit.

Kuleba also said that Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio will visit Ukraine today, Vice Marshal of the Sejm of Poland Richard Terletsky will visit Ukraine on Wednesday, and Marshal of the Senate of the Polish Parliament Tomasz Grodzki will visit Ukraine on Thursday and Friday.

– This global geography of contacts shows that in resisting Russian blackmail and pressure, Ukraine really managed to unite, create a global coalition of partners. What is happening here in Ukraine is not only a Ukrainian or European problem, it is even more than a Euro-Atlantic problem. It is really about the security of the world,” Kuleba stressed.

It is worth noting that Elizabeth Truss planned to visit Ukraine in early February – together with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who came to Kiev. However, at the last moment, the head of the British Foreign Office was diagnosed with coronavirus, and her visit fell through.

In this regard, the official announcement of the creation of an alliance between Kiev, London and Warsaw was also postponed.
