~6 0~p>Despite personnel changes in the Kremlin, when Putin removed Shoigu from the post of Minister of Defense, Valery Gerasimov remains in office as the only strategist of the war.
< p>Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin made a number of personnel changes in Russia, in particular, removing Sergei Shoigu from the post of defense minister. However, the chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, retained his post, because he is the only person in Russia planning the war strategy.
This opinion was expressed by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak in a comment to Channel 24.
According to him, Shoigu was never an important person in Russia and it was clear that he would “go out.” However, Putin's biggest decision hit Nikolai Patrushev, who was the Secretary of the Security Council. All because the Kremlin dictator became the “shadow of Patrushev”, who had dominated until now.
Podolyak says that it is Gerasimov who is the author of the concept of hybrid warfare, which Russia is actively using today. He is very authoritative in the military environment. If Putin removes the current chief of the Russian General Staff, he will isolate himself from the “elite” of the occupation army.
“Shoigu is a nobody considering his competence. Gerasimov is a completely different story. Gerasimov is practically the only person who plans a war and understands it in the strategic sense of the word. It seems to me that there are people similar to him in terms of level of understanding “what war is – no at all. How effective it is in this understanding is another question,” said the adviser to the head of the OPU.
At the same time, the Kremlin “humiliated” Gerasimov and installed many people who will control his every step. But despite this, he has authority in Russia and understands the strategy of a long war.
Recall that on May 12, the President-dictator of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin dismissed Sergei Shoigu from the post of Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation. He will become Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.< /p>
