Figure skater Kamila Valieva is the favorite of the Russian (CR) Women's Single Skating Championship. Her name was named by the Olympic champion in ice dancing Natalya Bestemyanova in an interview with the Lenta.ru correspondent.
“She now has the most balanced skating, the highest level of elements and ligaments. We should also note the stable performance of jumps in the most difficult ultra-si category, ”said the athlete.
Bestemyanova also spoke about the prospects of Alena Kostornaya, who will miss the Russian championship due to injury. “This season is actually over for her, but what will happen next – we'll see. To be honest, now I don't think about her at all. At the Russian championship, she would have claimed the fifth place, ”the figure skater added.
The Russian Figure Skating Championship will be held from 23 to 26 December in St. Petersburg. According to the results of the tournament, athletes will be determined who will represent the country at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing.
