The offensive of the Russian troops: Klitschko urged the inhabitants of Kiev to stock up on water and food

Against the backdrop of the offensive of Russian troops in the direction of Kiev, the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, called on the inhabitants of the city to stock up on water and food.

He stated this at an urgent briefing.

– I want to remind the people of Kiev: please stock up on water, food and essentials. Prepare warm clothes, blankets – in order to take them for the duration of your stay in the shelter, Klitschko said.

The mayor of the capital recalled that public transport and the metro of the city are working. However, when the sirens (air raid signal) sound, the ground metro stations will not work. We are talking about the stations: Dnieper, Hydropark, Levoberezhnaya, Darnitsa, Chernigovskaya and Lesnaya.

This is due to the fact that surface metro stations are not safe for transporting passengers and as a shelter. You can take cover in case of sounding alarm sirens in the underground metro stations of the capital.

– In the event of an air raid and the inclusion of sirens, underground stations are open to all residents at any time of the day in order to sit out the threat, Klitschko said.

Due to the fact that sabotage groups of Russians entered the capital, he urged the people of Kiev not to leave their homes and shelters so as not to be in danger. This is especially true for residents of the Obolon district.

“Today, I urge the people of Kiev to be especially vigilant: to notify about suspicious objects and marks that are made, planted by saboteurs to correct enemy fire,” Klitschko added.
