The Minister of Defense of Denmark, commenting on the decision to provide Caesar, said that his country donates them “to the fight for the freedom of Ukraine”.
The Ukrainian military forces will receive 19 French Caesar gun mounts from Denmark.

“This is a very large and significant donation. We have been in constant contact with the Ukrainians about the Caesar artillery, in particular, and I am happy that now we have received wide support from the Danish Parliament to donate it to the fight for the freedom of Ukraine. There is no doubt that it is needed, “said the Minister of Defense Jakob Ellemann-Jensen.
What is known about the armament of the Caesar
The self-propelled gun “Caesar” ka, using 155 mm caliber and developed in France by Nexter. During firing tests in January 2022, the Excalibur guided projectile was fired from the Caesar self-propelled guns. He was able to destroy two targets 46 km from the gun mount.
It is equipped with an armored cabin for 5 people, protecting against balls (caliber up to 7.62 mm) and shell fragments (2 STANAG 4569). There is also an air conditioning system.
