Occupiers do not know how far from the border to hide equipment: an expert on

It is now important for the enemy to plan their next actions.

Explosions at the airfield in the Russian city of Engels, which is about 600 km from the Ukrainian border, show the enemy that there may be new defeats of their equipment. Now the Russians do not know how far from the Ukrainian border they need to hide it now.

This opinion was expressed by Ivan Stupak, a former SBU employee and expert of the Ukrainian Institute of the Future, on Channel 24.

According to him, the invaders made a wrong calculation. At the beginning of the war, Tochka U missiles began to fly into the Russian air base with helicopters in Millerovo in the Rostov region.

“What the Russians did: they took a large map, a ruler and began to measure the distance from the Ukrainian border to Russian air bases. And we considered which airfield the weapons in the arsenal of the Ukrainian army would not be able to fly to, or NATO could potentially provide them to Ukraine,” he explained.

That's how they discovered the Engelsy base. However, it flew there several times. The Russians did not understand how something had arrived: either from Russian territory or from Ukrainian territory, bypassing all Russian air defenses along the border.

Stupak believes that it is now important for the enemy to plan their next steps. After all, now they cannot be sure that their defense systems can protect.

“If they move their aircraft beyond the Urals, then each new take-off of aircraft to bombard Ukraine gives us a big backlash of time,” the expert believes.

Recall that the first attack in Engels took place on December 5th. two Tu-95 missile carriers were damaged. In addition, three Russian servicemen were also killed as a result of a strike on the base.

The next time, on December 26, as a result of a drone strike on the airfield ” Engels-2″ the control center of the airbase could have been destroyed. Three soldiers were also killed.

Already on December 29, explosions at the airfield were again reported. According to the occupiers, the Russian air defense system worked.
