The death toll from earthquakes in Turkey and Syria rose to 23,431 as of February 10. Another 83,008 people were injured.

Let's add that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is in the disaster zone. He said that they managed to save 75,523 people.
According to Erdogan, the destruction experienced so many buildings on such a vast territory that it did not allow the required speed of the rescue operation to be reached, although it was possible to assemble the world's largest search and a rescue team of more than 140 thousand people.
Recall that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported the day before that five Ukrainians could be under the rubble in Turkey. Consuls went to the disaster zone to help the citizens of Ukraine.
Note that the echo of the powerful earthquake that swept on February 6 was also felt in Ukraine. Minor tremors touched the Khmelnitsky and South Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
