MOSCOW, October 5. / TASS /. The number of user registrations in the Viber messenger around the world has grown 5 times against the background of a large-scale failure of Facebook services the day before. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the company on Tuesday.
“The number of user registrations in Viber around the world has grown fivefold, and during peak hours – 10 times. Also, we have a 75% increase in the number of messages and doubled the number of calls,” the words of the Director of Global Development are quoted in the message Rakuten Viber by Anna Znamenskaya.
The press service noted that the company is working to ensure that the service functions stably during such high loads.
On October 4, users around the world reported a massive disruption to Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
