The American corporation Amazon announced that the number of subscribers to its Prime streaming service for the year grew by 33% to 200 million, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said in a letter to shareholders.
In just a year, the platform has added over 50 million subscribers, while earlier it took it two years to increase from 100 million to 150 million subscribers. The success is associated with the coronavirus pandemic, due to which users were forced to quarantine part of 2020. Amazon Prime gives users access to quick shopping, home-produced TV shows, music, and more.
