The first dose of the coronavirus vaccine was received by 49 million Russians, both components were administered to about 40 million people. This was announced by the head of the Russian Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko, RIA Novosti reports.
“Today, more than 49 million people have already been vaccinated with the first component in the country, and more than 40 million people have received both components,” he said.
In early September, the first deputy head of the Ministry of Health, Viktor Fisenko, spoke about 45 million Russians who started vaccination.
