The number of cases of coronavirus infection in the world has exceeded 90 million. This is evidenced by the data provided by Johns Hopkins University on January 10, which is updated on the website in real time.
As of 23:02 Moscow time, 90,005,787 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the world. Of these, more than 49.8 million patients have recovered and over 1.9 million have died.
The largest number of detected infections is observed in the United States – 22,255,827 people. In second place was India with 10,450,284 infected, in third – Brazil, where the coronavirus was detected in 8,075,998 citizens. Russia ranks fourth with a total number of recorded infections of 3,366,715.
The top ten countries with the highest number of infections also included the UK, France, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Germany and Colombia. The coronavirus has spread to 191 countries.
The pandemic crossed the 80 million mark on December 26. On January 1, 20 million infections were reported in the United States.
