“The nuclear sword of Russia cannot be rusty”: What kind of weapon did Vladimir Putin talk about in his message?

by alex

When the president raises military topics in his next message, the same ritual cry is heard in the camp of the internal opposition and in the ranks of foreign enemies: “here, again, Putin is“ rattling his weapon ”.

But the Address is not just a look at domestic and international problems, but also a kind of report of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on the state of defense. And this is his primary responsibility. And what did we hear? And the fact that Russia continues to strengthen the army and, above all, its most powerful and most formidable weapon – Strategic nuclear forces (ground, air, sea).

The President noted that the share of modern technology in this triad will approach 90% in a year and a half. Not a single service or branch of the armed forces can boast of such a level of “novya” yet. Russia's nuclear sword cannot be rusty. Our mighty missiles are good “sobering medicine” for obvious and potential enemies.

In addition, Russia has already developed and is adopting a whole brood of the latest and unique weapons – for example, the Zircon hypersonic missile, which no enemy defense complex can shoot down.

Unique and “Sarmat” – a promising Russian strategic missile system of the fifth generation with a heavy multistage intercontinental ballistic missile. Its firing range is 18 thousand kilometers.

Also, according to Putin, by 2024 the share of modern equipment in the troops will be almost 76%. Our army has not had such indicators, perhaps, for 50 years, or even more.

The improvement and qualitative strengthening of the Russian Armed Forces is ongoing. Looking into the future of the army, Putin made an emphasis on this:

“Special attention will have to be paid to the development of military education. This should be done both on the basis of military educational institutions and on the basis of military training centers at civilian universities ”. Listening to this, I remembered the words of one American general: “The military education of the Russians worries us no less: than their missiles …”
