Car prototypes usually have attractive structures that capture the imagination of the audience and are a great way to showcase the brand's vision for a car in the near future. But it is not always the case. The Russian Amber, developed by Kaliningrad-based manufacturer Avtotor, has been ridiculed online for its appearance.
The car has a high hood, tiny round headlights and a small windshield. It is known that some of the body parts were borrowed from the Lada Vesta.
Having seen the car, very little people were interested in the technical side. The boring design has sparked countless memes and jokes, with many calling it the worst car ever.
For its part, Avtotor is trying to save its face by claiming that the car will have a completely different design when it goes into production and that it was only a “test”.
In 2025, the Russians want to start producing up to 50,000 of these electric vehicles.
