On April 20, Apple presented the fifth generation iPad Pro and the new Magic Keyboard for it. As it turns out, the 12.9-inch tablet model is incompatible with the old keyboard.
According to sources, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 5th generation needs a new Magic Keyboard. So those hoping to use an old input device with a tablet will have to get discouraged and buy the new Magic Keyboard.
The fact is that the new iPad Pro is 0.5 mm thicker than previous models. This minor difference meant that older keyboards would not work with the new product. But the new Magic Keyboard is compatible with the third and fourth generation iPad Pros.
The 2021 iPad Pro is thicker because it uses a new type of Liquid Retina XDR display with mini-LED technology.
