Germany has approved the shipment of 400 anti-tank weapons from the Netherlands to Ukraine. On Saturday, February 26, TASS reports with reference to the Bild newspaper.

Prior to this, Germany did not allow the supply of German-made weapons to the Ukrainian military. After the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine, the German government approved only the dispatch of five thousand helmets.

Earlier, Zelensky announced the allocation of “significant” assistance to Ukraine. He said he had spoken and agreed on support with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and American leader Joe Biden.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a special military operation in the Donbass amid reports of a worsening situation in the region and the appeal of the authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics to Russia for help.
