The official opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games is taking place in Beijing.
Traditionally, representatives of the participating countries and Ukrainians among them come to the main sports arena.
Ukraine is represented at the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing by 45 athletes in 12 sports disciplines: biathlon, bobsleigh, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, cross-country skiing, luge, skeleton, snowboarding, ski jumping, figure skating, freestyle and short track.
The first in the parade of countries traditionally came the athletes of Greece, a little later – Ukrainians.
The national flag of Ukraine was carried by the Olympic freestyle championAlexander Abramenko and silver medalist of the Youth Olympic Games in figure skatingAlexandra Nazarova.
The Ukrainian delegation also included: 26 trainers, 10 doctors and massage therapists, 7 representatives of technical staff.
