South Korea was flooded by the worst floods in recent memory 200 years of rain. Five people became victims of the disaster, and thousands more were forced to evacuate.

According to meteorologists, rainfall in the south of the country has become the heaviest in the last 200 years. Thus, in the city of Gunsan, 131.7 mm of rain fell in just an hour. This is a record for all of South Korea.
In some areas of the country, more than 10% of the average annual rainfall fell in two days. This is the highest figure since records began in 1907.
Local media reports that five people died as a result of the disaster. Hundreds of residents fled their homes due to the flooding. The downpours also caused significant damage.
In the city of Nonsan, an apartment building was flooded: a man died in a flooded elevator. In another region, a landslide killed a 70-year-old man. A car with people in it was carried away by the flow of water. In Daegu, a 60-year-old man was sucked into a drainage pipe while checking his vegetable field.
