The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation has developed a draft law, which proposed to allow law enforcement agencies to block sites with instructions for the manufacture of explosives and weapons. The document was published on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
In particular, it is proposed to grant such a privilege to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the FSB of the Russian Federation, the Russian Guard and the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Communications.
The explanatory note to the document states that the criteria for evaluating materials for possible restriction of access will be developed within the framework of an interdepartmental order. At the same time, the implementation of the project will not require additional expenses from the federal and regional budgets.
Earlier, Roskomnadzor blocked the Smart Voting website. The basis for this decision was the requirement of the General Prosecutor's Office, according to which it is necessary to restrict access to those resources that are associated with the Anti-Corruption Foundation (recognized in Russia as an extremist organization and a foreign agent).
