The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus confirms the use of special equipment for the actions in Minsk

The press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus Olga Chemodanova said that the police used special means at unauthorized mass events in Minsk, RIA Novosti reports.

“During the detention of persons who violated public order and resisted the police officers, special means were used, in particular, in Minsk,” Chemodanova said.

Earlier, eyewitnesses reported about the use of special means at a protest in the Kamennaya Gorka microdistrict in Minsk.

It was also reported that military equipment had advanced to the center of Minsk before the opposition rally.
