The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs will place its service on the American platforms Google and Apple. The service was named Anti-Fraud. He will warn citizens about the calls of swindlers, TASS reports with reference to the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“The deadline for the completion of experimental design work is December 25, 2021,” the Interior Ministry said.
The contract with the developer was signed in the spring. The project was estimated at 45 million rubles.
The Anti-Fraud module is planned to be introduced into the mobile application of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It will notify the user that they are receiving calls or text messages from a number whose owner previously committed illegal actions. Such a call can be blocked. Also, the application will display a “White List”, where the user can add trusted numbers.
Note that already now the application of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, in which they plan to introduce the new service, is available in the American stores of mobile applications AppStore and Google Play.
Despite the fact that Apple and Google operate under US laws and at any time can block access to their stores for Russian users on a command from Washington.
Earlier, the Americans deprived their store of the Chinese company Huawei. Some experts believe that Russia needs its own app store in case of another restriction against the country.
