The Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed a project to block websites for “recipes” of explosives
The Russian Interior Ministry has drafted a bill allowing several agencies to block websites that publish instructions on how to make weapons and explosives themselves, and rework weapons.
It is proposed to give such powers to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, FSB, Rosgvardia and Roskomnadzor.
The document, published on the portal of draft federal regulatory legal acts, says that these departments will decide on the inclusion of resources in the list of sites containing information, the dissemination of which is prohibited in our country.
The criteria for evaluating materials for possible blocking are planned to be developed within the framework of an interdepartmental order.
The head of the ICR, Alexander Bastrykin, had previously proposed blocking sites with prohibited information in one to two hours, reducing the mechanism of interagency interaction in order to quickly respond to the propaganda of extremism on the Internet.
