By the end of this year, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will receive a special mobile service “Anti-Fraud”, which will warn citizens about calls from swindlers.
This was told in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, specifying that the creation of this service will cost 44.9 million rubles, and the full completion of development work is expected on December 25, 2021.
The department noted that the contract with the developer was concluded quite recently – at the end of March, and it was initially assumed that the service for combating telephone scammers would cost much more, about 62.9 million rubles.
The Anti-Fraud module is planned to be introduced into the mobile application of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it will notify the user that they are calling or writing a message from a number that has already been used in any fraudulent activities, and the subscriber will be able not to answer the call, block a suspicious number, reports TASS.
By the way, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in just six months the telephone scammers managed to steal more than 6.7 million rubles from the Russians using various tricks.
