The gas price for Belarus in 2021 will be approximately at the price of 2020 – $ 127 per thousand cubic meters, the Ministry of Energy of Belarus said in a statement.
At the same time, the ministry notes that the price is significantly lower than that provided for by the formula fixed in the intergovernmental agreement on the procedure for setting gas prices for Belarus.
“The level of gas prices agreed by the parties for 2021 is practically at the level of 2020, but significantly lower than that provided for by the formula that determines the gas price for Belarus, fixed in the intergovernmental agreement on the procedure for setting gas prices, which was signed in 2011”, – says the message.
Earlier on December 24, Gazprom announced that the company had agreed with the government of Belarus on the price of Russian gas for the republic for 2021.
As previously reported, contracts for the supply of Russian gas to Belarus and its transportation through the territory of the republic between Gazprom and Gazprom Transgaz Belarus are valid until the end of 2020. The current price for Russian gas for Belarus is $ 127 per thousand cubic meters.
On November 11, Gazprom announced that the company had started negotiations with Belarus on the price of Russian gas for 2021.
