Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov assessed the likelihood of martial law in the country on the air of the ICTV channel, RIA Novosti reports.
“I am sure that there are absolutely no grounds for introducing such a provision of a special legal regime,” Reznikov said. According to him, this cannot be done just for the sake of “regulating the media atmosphere”. He expressed confidence that the country will survive this information crisis.
As the minister explained, martial law is introduced if “aggression occurs as an invasion.” “I have hope that such an invasion will not happen, and therefore everything will be fine,” the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry concluded.
