Russia completed the rearmament of the Eastern Military District division with AK-12 assault rifles

Servicemen of the Eastern Military District (VVO) division in Transbaikalia received a batch of new AK-12 assault rifles. The re-equipment of the unit with new small arms has been completed. This was reported by “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” with reference to the press service of the BBO.
The connection received 1,500 AK-12 assault rifles. The press service of the Air Defense Forces noted that they are used in exercises and training sessions.
In November, AK-12 assault rifles entered the disposal of the marines of the Pacific and Black Sea fleets. The submachine guns were also tested by the marines of the Pacific Fleet's peacekeeping battalion serving in Nagorno-Karabakh.
In October, reconnaissance units and special forces of the Airborne Forces (Airborne Forces) received new submachine guns. Also, scouts and special forces will receive silencers, night sights and thermal imagers.
AK-12 is unified with previous models of the series. The modern machine gun is distinguished by improved ergonomics and increased accuracy of fire. The AK-12 received a telescopic buttstock with improved ergonomics, a pistol grip and a new rear sight allowing the use of the 1P87 collimator sight.
