The leaders of illegal armed groups in Donetsk and the occupied Donetsk region are planning to start evacuating the local population due to a possible aggravation of the situation.
This was announced on his Facebook page by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny .
– We officially announce: the Armed Forces of Ukraine strictly comply with the Minsk agreements and the norms of international humanitarian law, do not plan any offensive operations or shelling of civilians. Our actions are exclusively defensive in nature,” wrote the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He added that the occupying state, the Russian Federation, is responsible for the situation in the occupied territories.
– Any damage that may be caused to people or infrastructure in the temporarily occupied territories is a provocation . The Ukrainian side informs international organizations about the preparation of such provocations, added Valeriy Zaluzhny.
He recalled that on February 17, a significant escalation of hostilities was observed in eastern Ukraine.
– Gross violations of the Minsk agreements by the Russian occupation forces that took place during the current day should be investigated. This will allow us to act more effectively in the future in order to maintain the ceasefire, said Commander-in-Chief Zaluzny.
Recall that in connection with the aggravation of Donbas over the past day, Ukraine announced in the TCG that it was convening an urgent meeting.
Earlier, United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that in the coming days, the Russian president wants to launch a full-scale offensive against Ukraine.
This was answered by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov, saying that Kiev does not yet see the intentions of the Russian Federation to make a new invasion of Ukraine in the coming days.
