The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Marcinkiv proposed to legalize the collection of funds from parents in kindergartens of the city.
He stated this on January 20 at a meeting of the executive committee of the City Council. Thus, the mayor reacted to the reports of the kindergartens of Ivano-Frankivsk No. 1 Kalinochka and No. 2 Malyshka.
Ruslan Marcinkiv clarified that the payment of kindergarten parents should be “symbolic”.
– We are all lying here, saying that we do not collect money in groups. In fact, everyone collects a little bit, parents initiate. It is possible to introduce a symbolic fee – 100-150 UAH., so as not to humiliate yourself and not tell stories. But so that parents know that they have handed over this money and they will not be required to do anything else. Let’s go this way, legally,” the mayor suggested.
In response, the director of the Department of Education and Science Igor Maksimchuk promised to discuss the proposal with the heads of kindergartens at a meeting.
– We humiliate ourselves, the directors hide their eyes, the parent committees quarrel …And so we have developed some kind of mechanism, consult, some kind of payment for impudence or something else, – added the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk.
According to preliminary information, a meeting with the directors of kindergartens of the city will be held next week.
