The mayor of the French city of Calais, Natasha Bouchard, was attacked by a homeless person. This was reported by the BFMTV TV channel.

The incident took place on December 29 at one of the savings banks, where three homeless people blocked the passage to the building. A pregnant woman who was leaving the institution tripped over their bags, after which Bouchard asked the homeless to clear the passage. In response, one of them hit the woman. According to the TV channel, the blow was struck by a native of Lithuania.

The mayor filed a complaint with the police. As a result, the court sentenced the 51-year-old Lithuanian to two months in prison.
