Scotland Yard: a man who entered the territory of Windsor Castle is at the doctors

The man who entered the territory of Windsor Castle – the residence of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain – was handed over to a specialized institution, he may suffer from mental disorders and is under the supervision of doctors. This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of Scotland Yard.
A crossbow was seized from a 19-year-old man from Southampton, according to law enforcement officials. He is suspected of entering the protected area, as well as illegal possession of weapons. He is now under the supervision of psychiatrists in accordance with the mental health law, which allows the authorities to restrict freedom and place in specialized medical facilities people who may pose a threat to themselves or others due to mental disorders.
The fact that an armed man entered the territory of Windsor Castle, where the Queen of Great Britain celebrated Christmas, was reported on Saturday, December 25. The Thames Valley Police and Metropolitan Police officers were called to the scene at about 8:30 am (11:30 am Moscow time). They detained a 19-year-old man from Southampton who had entered the royal family's compound and placed him in custody.
