In the building where the Main Intelligence Directorate of our state functions, there lives a four-legged fluffy. We are talking about a cat with the nickname Gunther – the head of the department, Kirill Budanov, spoke about him in detail.
Kirill Budanov told Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Komarov about the main Ukrainian scout cat. It should be noted that this happened during the filming of the documentary film “The Year” – about the year of Ukraine's life since the start of a large-scale war in February 2022.
It is not just a cat
Budanov agreed with the TV presenter's words that this “cat is not simple, not strategic”, because he knows more state secrets than any other furry in our state. Moreover, he is more “educated” in the affairs of the GUR than any ordinary citizen.
This is a local koshara – this is not a cat. Gunther. He was born here and lives here somewhere on the territory. He just walks around the territory here… He survived a missile attack – everything is fine with him, as you can see, – said the head of the GUR. h2>
It should be said that in the same interview the head of the GUR spoke not only about his cat, but also touched on a number of other important topics. In particular, he described what would happen if the Armed Forces of Ukraine had not properly prepared for a big invasion a year ago and would have allowed Russia to land its troops in the vicinity of Kyiv. According to him, the Ukrainian capital would have been under Russian control for a long time in this case.
In addition, Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had done to prevent the invaders from reaching the right bank of the Dnieper, where Government Quarter. He stated that on the eve of the invasion in Ukraine, all bridges connecting the right and left banks of the main river of our state were mined. Fortunately, they did not have to be blown up.
