The social network VKontakte has created the VK Mail service, which will appear in the ecosystem by the beginning of the new academic year. Users will be able to design e-mail boxes with bright themes. The service will offer smart mail sorting based on machine learning. In addition, a user who receives an email from an online store can immediately start a chat with the company in the messenger.
The VK Mail service was reported by the VKontakte press service. Users will be able to receive mail with the @ vk.com domain. The company noted that the service is designed for the audience of the social network, which needs technological and personalized mail for work and study.
In the description of the project, it is reported that the smart sorting of VK Mail automatically distributes letters to the folders “Letters to myself”, “News”, “Social networks” and “Mailings”. At the same time, you can create your own folders and put individual letters there, delete them, mark them as read or with a flag, send an auto-reply, etc.
You can unsubscribe from unnecessary mailings by clicking the “Unsubscribe” button in the letter, that is, you will not need to go to the sender's website. Unclaimed mailings are sent to a separate page – you can unsubscribe from everyone at once.
If any online store has sent a letter, then the user will be able to go straight from it to the chat with the company in the VKontakte messenger. Now this way you can contact representatives of seven companies, including Ozon, Wildberries and Lamoda. Their list will expand.
Authorization in mail from VKontakte passes through a single VK Connect account. In addition, your email inbox can be secured with two-factor authentication, Touch ID, or Face ID. There is no separate password for entering the service.
