They lost Crimea and most of Luhansk and Donetsk, the continuation of all this is the war that continues in Ukraine today,” Kobakhidze commented on the statement of MEP Viola von Cramon, who wrote that the dispersal of the protest in Tbilisi very similar to Maidan in Ukraine in 2013-2014.

In addition, he stated that “Georgian Yanukovych is in prison, and his name is Mikheil Saakashvili … We will not act according to the agenda of the radicals, the agenda of Viola von Cramon, but in accordance with the interests of Georgian society.”

Commenting on the large-scale protests in Georgia, he called the statements of the opposition and the people of Georgia that the adoption of the law on “foreign agents” will negatively affect the process of obtaining the country's candidate status in the EU as speculation.

Kobakhidze also stressed that all offenders must be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

The protesters in Tbilisi were dispersed with water cannons, in response, the protesters threw Molotov cocktails. There are victims in the clashes, dozens of protesters were arrested.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry noted that they are closely following the events in Tbilisi and support the Georgian people in their European aspirations.
