Moscow. June 25. INTERFAX.RU – On Friday, as expected, the launch of the Soyuz-2 carrier rocket will take place at the Plesetsk cosmodrome, the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Komi Republic reported.
“On June 25, 2021, the Soyuz-2 carrier rocket will be launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome. The launch will take place in the interests of the country's defense and security,” the message says.
Reserve launch dates are June 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30. The ministry added that it is planned to use the Ust-Tsilemsky area for the fall of the separating parts of the rocket.
“For the period of the launch of the Soyuz-2 LV, namely from June 25 to June 30, 2021, the fall areas were declared temporarily dangerous,” the ministry said.
According to specialized American resources, the Pion-NKS reconnaissance satellite will be launched.
The Pion-NKS spacecraft is a component of the Liana electronic reconnaissance system.
