The largest book publishers in Russia filed a lawsuit against Telegram

Publishing houses AST and Eksmo, which are part of the Eksmo-AST group, filed two lawsuits against the Telegram messenger. The companies are not happy with the presence of pirated copies of books by Stephen King, Dmitry Glukhovsky and some other writers in the telegram.

The Moscow City Court has already ordered Roskomnadzor to block access to controversial books as an interim measure.

It is reported that one of the possible strategies of book publishers is an attempt to completely block the messenger through the courts “for repeated violations.”
