In the Khmelnitsky region, two women will be tried who copied someone else’s land to their relatives. Staying in the positions of village heads, they earned the wills of deceased villagers.
The incident occurred in the Khmelnitsky district, the names of settlements were kept silent in the prosecutor’s office. Both criminal cases of women have already been sent to court.
The investigation found that the village heads decided to appropriate the land plots of long-dead villagers who did not have their own will.
Forging these documents, one woman issued more than 5 hectares of land to her friends. The second woman, without hesitation“ “presented” 3.3 hectares of foreign land to her husband.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 1 of Article 364 (Abuse of official position) and Part 1 of Article 366 (Official forgery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Both rural heads may face punishment in the form of:
- arrest for up to six months;
- restriction of freedom (suspended sentence) up to three years;
- imprisonment for up to three years (with deprivation of the right to hold office);
- a fine of 4 thousand to 12 thousand UAH.
