The Kiev City Council adopted the budget for 2024. Kyiv budget revenues for the next year were planned to total more than UAH 72.6 billion, and expenses — more than 85.3 billion UAH.
The corresponding decision was supported by 80 deputies, said the first deputy head of the KGVA Nikolai Povoroznik.
The largest share of income consists of tax revenues, of which the personal income tax (NDFL) was planned in the amount of 32 billion UAH, and for the profits of enterprises — 7.5 billion UAH. Local taxes — UAH 16.8 billion, funds from the sale of land — 2.8 billion UAH.

The main area of funding is the education sector — more than 27.2 billion UAH, which is more than 32% of expenses. More than 23.8 billion UAH or 28% of the city budget were planned for transport, road infrastructure and communications in Kiev.
For housing and communal services — 8.2 billion UAH, social protection — 7.8 billion UAH, healthcare — about 6 billion UAH, culture and art — 1.7 billion UAH, physical culture and sports — 1.5 billion UAH.
At the same time, the allocation of 1 billion UAH is provided for the implementation of the city target program for the organization of military service, fulfillment of military duty, mobilization training and territorial defense Defender of Kiev for 2022-2024.
Deputies of the Kiev City Council adopted the Program for the Economic and Social Development of Kyiv for 2024-2026. In 2024, they plan to focus on creating safe living conditions and stay in the city, adaptation of combatants and IDPs.
Attention is also paid to providing social, medical and rehabilitation services to people with disabilities. The features of creating an inclusive space in all spheres of life in Kyiv are taken into account.
