Russia has stated that they allegedly do not want to drag out peace talks with Ukraine. At the same time, they continue to dream about achieving their “goals.”
This was reported by Channel 24 , citing a statement by Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
Peskov spoke about the negotiations
A Putin aide said Russia is “grateful” for the efforts Washington and Donald Trump's team are making to facilitate talks to end Russia's war against Ukraine.
Peskov noted that it is currently planned to agree on the dates of the third round of negotiations with Ukraine. According to him, “the agreements reached during the second round of negotiations held in Istanbul have been implemented so far.” And when all previous humanitarian agreements are implemented, it will be time for a new meeting.
Nobody is dragging anything out here. We are interested in achieving the goals we have set and the goals we are trying to achieve during the “SVO” by political and diplomatic means. Therefore, we are not interested in dragging anything out, Peskov cynically stated.
Incidentally, Dmitry Peskov recently noted that the West will not force Russia to agree to end the war against Ukraine. He claimed that “only logic and arguments” can become the basis for negotiations, but not economic or political pressure.
