Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov reacted to the crushing defeat of the Russian national team from the Serbs in the final round match of the League of Nations group stage. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

The final match in their group in the League of Nations, the Russian national team lost to Serbia with a score of 0: 5. At the same time, the head coach of the team, Stanislav Cherchesov, emphasized that his players started the tournament well and only had an unsuccessful ending.
The defeat did not allow the Russian team to take first place in the group and break into the elite division of the League of Nations. In addition, Russia lost a place in the second pot in the selection draw for the 2022 World Cup.
