Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov named the most effective vaccines against the omicron strain of coronavirus. He stated this on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24”, RIA Novosti reports.
According to a Kremlin spokesman, specialists already understand that the Russian vaccines Sputnik V and Sputnik Light are probably the most effective against the new variant in the world.
Previously, Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has a high level of antibodies to coronavirus. “He just got boosted, got a booster, and he also took part in an experiment with a nasal vaccine. Therefore, I hope this is a sufficient level of protection, ”the Kremlin spokesman explained.
