Russian authorities reacted nervously to the support of some countries of the North Atlantic Alliance for the possibility of Ukraine using Western weapons to strike Russian territory.
Press – Russian Presidential Secretary Dmitry Peskov accused NATO countries of provoking a new level of tension and pushing Ukraine to continue the “senseless war.”
This statement by the Kremlin speaker, with which he nervously reacted to the support of some countries of the North Atlantic Alliance for the possibility of Ukraine using Western weapons to strike the territory of the Russian Federation, was reported on Thursday, May 30, by the propaganda Russian media.
“We hear a lot of militant statements. This is nothing more than provoking a new level of tension. We understand that, unfortunately, this negative trend in their [NATO countries'] approach continues, they are provoking Ukraine to continue this senseless war. They themselves intend to continue the war with us – a war in the literal and figurative sense,” said the press secretary of the president of the aggressor state.
At the same time, the Kremlin representative stated that such a NATO policy “will inevitably have its consequences.”
“This will ultimately cause great harm to the interests of those countries that have taken the path of escalation of tension,” Peskov threatened, without specifying what kind of harm he was talking about.
Recall that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg recently stated that Ukraine has the right to strike the territory of the Russian Federation in response to its aggressive war against civilians.
