The dictator's representative does not like the fact that there are supposedly “no specifics”.
Dmitry Peskov, Vladimir Putin's press secretary, said that Russia is not preparing for the Peace Summit. He assures that Russia is ready for negotiations with Ukraine, but does not trust its authorities.
The propaganda publication RIA Novosti writes about this.
As Peskov put it, the president of the aggressor state has repeatedly declared that Russia is “open to negotiations” to end the war in Ukraine. He says that his country is ready “to talk with the Ukrainian authorities, but it cannot be trusted.” Peskov also blames the “lack of specifics” in the proposals.
“Yes, there are voices that we might invite Russia to the next event and all that. You see, people don't participate in events in the interests of such a protocol and for the sake of participation itself. They participate in events to discuss a specific agenda. So far, the order of the day that would suit us has not been announced anywhere”, Peskov noted.
The politician noted that not a single summit with Russia's participation is being prepared.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine wants to hold a second peace summit this year.
