It is possible that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko will hold a separate bilateral meeting in St. Petersburg on December 28. This was announced by the representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov, writes TASS.

On December 13, the press secretary of the head of state reported that Putin and Lukashenko had agreed to meet before the New Year, but promised to clarify the exact date further.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about relations with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. According to him, the leaders are in constant contact. At the same time, the head of state added that they “inform each other about the situation” and plan common actions for the future.

In addition, the Belarusian leader said that there are no limits to the integration of Russia and Belarus. He also noted that the creation of a single currency is a higher level of the integration process, which the two states have not yet approached.
