Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi, commenting on a possible missile launch by the DPRK, said that the situation in Ukraine affects not only Europe, but the whole world, including the East Asian and Indo-Pacific regions. He stated this on the air of the NHK TV channel, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, Tokyo has repeatedly stated this at meetings of the G7 (G7) countries. At the same time, Hayashi noted that Japan has not yet analyzed whether North Korea's missile tests are connected with the events in Ukraine and what Pyongyang's intentions are. He also added that one should be prepared for such situations.
Earlier, the Yonhap agency, citing the South Korean military, reported that North Korea launched an unidentified projectile in an easterly direction. The publication did not give details of what happened.
