Thursday, June 13, online A video has appeared in which Israeli soldiers on the border with Lebanon use medieval weapons – a catapult, as well as a bow and arrow.
The corresponding footage was published by military observers from OSINT-defender on the X network.
As seen in the first video, IDF soldiers use a catapult to throw incendiary shells over the border wall with Lebanon, from where Hezbollah militants often attack Israeli territory.
< p>In another video, a soldier shoots arrows with a bow and arrow through the border wall.
The Israeli army commented on the appearance of these videos, calling such medieval methods a local initiative, and not a universal practice.
Observers explain that local reservists at one of the outposts in northern Israel are thus burning bushes and dense vegetation in Lebanese territory, which limits visibility and allows Hezbollah militants to lay ambushes near the border with Israel. < /p>
Recall that earlier Israeli army fighters responded to shelling of Israel by the pro-Iranian Hezbollah group based in Lebanon.
